Sun print

Sun printing, although quick, was rather enjoyable. The art itself is incredibly simplistic which lends itself to shapes and interpreting meaning.

Project 2: Ephemeral Art

Ephemeral artists use natural materials as a sort of brush and nature as their canvas. The artists use the materials as you would a drawing tool to create shapes and other structures in the real world. Natural materials are often selected based upon their color and usefullness to one project.

The process was particularly difficult because all of the supplies had to be gathered and in my case this rather limited what colors I had avaliable to work with. Once supplies were gathered however it was essentially anything I could make out of the natural materials I had collected, which allowed for an interesting take on a common symbol

PEPA

Andy Warhol

The Emulation makes use of blocking as well as a simplified color modification in each block.

Roy Lichtenstien

Although not 100% true to Roy, this emulation coantains dark outlines as well as very limited colors.

Keith Haring

The rather simplistic image of the group, This makes use of bright yet simple colors and the simplified person.

The tecniques are as follows: The Andy Warhol Image has the gradient as a background, The Roy Lichtenstien image makes use of a custom brush (For the line effect on the top and bottom), The Keither Haring Image makes use of a few simple custom shapes.

Project 1: Composition

Depth of field

Framing

Unusual angle

Selective Focus

Leading Lines

Rule of Thirds

EQ: Why are these tecniques important? Each of these tecniques aims to do at least 2 things. First they drive and controll the focal points of each image. Secondly they add intrigue to an image and give each peice of work a little more depth and interest. Each teqnique can be subtle but enhancean image or they can be obvious but still enhance the image.
